PUBIC NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that Kimball County Transit Service (KCTS) is an Applicant requesting two years of financial assistance from the Federal Transit Act, generally described below.

Description of Project Purpose of the Project is for operating assistance to provide several types of general public transportation (reserve-a-ride, routes and checkpoint) throughout the southern panhandle of Nebraska including Scotts Bluff, Banner, Kimball, Cheyenne and Deuel Counties reaching into the neighboring states with Cheyenne Wyoming and Fort Collins, Loveland and Denver Colorado.  The estimated two-year cost of the Project by source of funds are $5,393,466 in federal funds, $1,334,995 in state funds and $1,334,995 in local funds from Kimball County, Deuel County, City of Chappell, Buckley Trust, Chappell Senior Center, Medicaid, and Sponsorships.

A copy of the Application for financial assistance of the Project is available for public inspection at KCTS located at 233 S. Chestnut St., Kimball, NE 69145.  Written comments for consideration by KCTS will be accepted at KCTS located at 233 S. Chestnut St., Kimball, NE 69145 for a period of 10 days ending March 21, 2025.
